Title (German)

Abgasanlagen - Teil 5: Einrichtungen für Schornsteinfegerarbeiten - Anforderungen, Planung und Ausführung

Overview

This standard applies to requirements for planning and execution of facilities (traffic routes and standing areas) required to perform chimney sweeping work (cleaning, checking and inspection work) on flue gas systems of building structures. The facilities are part of the building structure. This standard applies to facilities (traffic routes and standing areas) required to carry out chimney sweeping work (cleaning, checking and inspection work) on flue gas systems of building structures for which the planning of the execution was started after this standard came into force. Based on the German Regulation on Safety and Health Protection at Construction Sites (Baustellenverordnung - BaustellV) of June 10, 1998, general principles for the prevention of health and safety hazards shall be taken into account during execution planning and preparation of the construction project. In fulfilling this task the building owner is obliged to compile a document that takes the characteristics of the construction work into account and contains useful information regarding safety and health protection that is to be taken into account during regular chimney sweeping work. General requirements for the maintenance of building structures are contained in the building regulations of the federal states and are specified by this standard with regard to the design of workplaces and traffic routes.
