Abstract
This document specifies the lighting requirements for commercially operated locks, their approach channels equipped with fixed lighting systems, and the berths located in the approach channels. This document does not apply to the lighting of signboards in lock systems and recreational boat locks when there is no nighttime operation. This document does not apply to the lighting of workstations in lock areas. For outdoor work places, see DIN EN 12464-2.
