Overview

This document describes color measurements in the manufacturing process and is intended to provide transparency about the information available. It specifies the differences between inline, online, atline, and offline measurements in order to establish uniform terminology. The state of the art is outlined in order to assist users in deciding how to integrate these measurements into the manufacturing process. In addition, practical and useful tips are provided that are important for setting up and operating the measurement technology. This document has been prepared by Joint Working Committee NA 025-00-02 GA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss FNF/FNL: Farbmetrik" ("Joint Working Committee FNF/FNL: Colometry") at DIN Standards Committee Colour (FNF).
