Overview
Part 2 of IEC 62368 contains explanatory information, notes and justifications for use in conjunction with IEC 62368-1:2014. Since IEC 62368-1 defines a new safety philosophy compared to the two predecessor standards, Part 2 is intended to simplify application in practice. The responsible committee is DKE/K 711 "Sicherheit elektronischer Einrichtungen für Audio/Video-, Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik" ("Safety of electronic equipment within the field of audio/video, information technology and communication technology") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
