Overview
This pre-standard supplements the standard DIN EN 50574:2012 which specifies the requirements regarding handling, transport, storage, sorting and treatment for end-of-life WEEE household appliances containing volatile fluorocarbons and/or volatile hydrocarbons. It gives requirements for measuring the de-pollution during the treatment of such appliances, where any characteristic values and target values within this document are based on data collected by engineering experts over a period of more than two years during the execution of tests in accordance with EN 50574:2012. The responsible committee is DKE/K 191 "Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit bei Produkten in der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik, Informationstechnik" ("Environmental protection and sustainability in products of electrical engineering, electronic engineering, information technology") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
