Hochspannungs-Prüftechnik - Teil 1: Allgemeine Begriffe und Prüfbedingungen (IEC 60060-1:2010); Deutsche Fassung EN 60060-1:2010

Overview

This standard describes the general definitions and test requirements for dielectric tests with direct voltage, alternating voltage, impulse voltage and combinations thereof. It is only applicable to tests on equipment having its highest voltage Um above 1 kV. It is not applicable for tests of electromagnetic compatibility of electric and electronic equipment. For voltages Um above 800 kV meeting some specified procedures, tolerances and uncertainties may not be achievable. The following modifications have been made with regard to DIN EN 60060-1 (VDE 0432-1):1994-06: a) Artificial pollution test procedures are no longer described in detail, but reference is made to IEC 60507. The associated figures were also removed. b) Regarding the atmospheric correction factors for disruptive discharge voltage, the coefficients of air density and humidity correction have been changed. c) Regarding the alternating voltage tests, the requirements for the pollution tests for the transformer test circle are also no longer mentioned, but reference is made to IEC 60507. d) Regarding the alternating voltage tests, the calibration of a measuring system with a measuring system permitted according to IEC 60060 is no longer mentioned, but reference is made to IEC 60060-2. The associated figure was also deleted. e) Regarding the tests with lighting impulse, a test voltage factor is introduced which is necessary for the determination of the test voltage at lighting impulses with oscillations at the peak. Thus, the previous fixed limit of 500 kHz for the determination of the test voltage value of the oscillations at the peak of the lighting impulse has been deleted and replaced by a frequency-dependent function. The new Annex B describes the method in detail. The new Annex C contains information on how these parameters can be determined using a software and in the new Annex D, the background to the introduction of the test voltage factor is explained. f) Regarding the switching-impulse voltage tests, a new determination of the time to peak is introduced by determining, analogously to the determination of the front time of the lightning impulse, the interval between 30 % and 90 % of the peak value is determined and calculated by means of a formula adopted to the peak value. g) The clause "Impulse voltage" is no longer included, as it now has been published in DIN EN 62475 (VDE 0432-20):2011-09 together with the entire high-voltage test techniques. h) In Annex A "Statistical treatment of test results", two figures for carrying out the multiple-level (Class 1) test and the decreasing and increasing up-and-down (Class 2) tests have been supplemented i) The previous Annex B "Pollution test" is no longer included, as reference is made to IEC 60507 with regard to pollution tests j) The previous Annex C "Calibration of a measuring system with rod air gaps" has been incorporated into DIN EN 60052. k) In the new Annex E, a calculation method for atmospheric correction factors is described. The responsible committee is DKE/K 124 "Hochspannungs- und Hochstrom-Prüftechnik" ("High-voltage and high current testing techniques") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
