Abstract

The project specifies the test methods necessary to evaluate electronic components which are intended for vehicle use against electrostatic discharges (ESD). It describes the test methods for evaluating the modules in the laboratory as well as the complete vehicle. A calibration procedure for the simulator that is used for the generation of the electrostatic discharge is given in annex A, a functional status classification for the immunity to ESD in annex B.
