Abstract

The document specifies a direct method and a comparison method with a grade 1 accuracy using a reverberation test room for determining the sound power level and sound energy level produced by a source. It specifies test room requirements, source location and general rules for operating conditions, instrumentation and techniques for measuring sound pressure levels from which the sound power level of the source in one-third-octave-bands is calculated.
