Abstract

This DIN SPEC in accordance with the PAS procedure has been drawn up by a DIN-SPEC-consortium set up on a temporary basis. This DIN SPEC has been developed and approved by the authors named in the foreword. This document specifies the requirements that autoclaved aerated concrete waste or recycled autoclaved aerated concrete must fulfil in order to be suitable for the manufacture of new autoclaved aerated concrete products. This document defines the quality of autoclaved aerated concrete waste, or recycled autoclaved aerated concrete, according to the type and quantity of accompanying substances. Requirements for acceptance conditions and quality testing, such as sampling and analysis methods, are defined. This document provides information for cooperation between the institutions and companies involved in the recycling process (e.g. planners, architects, recycling companies, building material manufacturers, landfill operators, construction companies, authorities) and is thus intended to facilitate and simplify the value creation process. This document is applicable to all autoclaved aerated concrete products in accordance with DIN EN 771-4, DIN EN 12602, DIN 4166, as well as all autoclaved aerated concrete products regulated by approval that are manufactured using recycled autoclaved aerated concrete.
