Mechanical safety and control devices for heating appliances and heat generating systems (Mirror committee CEN/TC 58/WG 13, ISO/TC 161/WG 3, ISO/TC 161/WG 4)

The working committee NA 041-03-16 AA "Mechanical safety and control devices for heating applications and heat generating systems (Mirror committee CEN/TC 58/WG 13, ISO/TC 161/WG 3, ISO/TC 161/WG 4)" of the DIN Standards Committee Heating and Ventilation Technology and their Safety is tasked to process standards and standardization projects with respect to safety, construction, and performance requirements as well as tests of electromechanical controls for heating applications and heat generating systems. The work programme of the NA 041-03-16 AA covers, among others, the following controls, including their devices: - Automatic shut-off valves for gas burners and gas applications; - Automatic vent valves; - Pressure regulators for gas burners and gas applications; - Thermo-electric flame supervision device; - Pneumatic gas/air ratio controls for gas burners and gas applications; - Manual taps for gas applications; - Mechanical thermostats for gas applications; - Multifunctional controls for gas applications. In its field of expertise the NA 041-03-16 AA acts as a German mirror committee at the European and International standardization for the European working group CEN/TC 58/WG 13 "Mechanics" and the International working groups ISO/TC 161/WG 3 "Integration of IEC/TC 72 standards into ISO/TC 161 standards" and ISO/TC 161/WG 4 "Multifunctional Controls".
