Overview
This document (CEN/TR 15522-2:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 19 "Gaseous and liquid fuels, lubricants and related products of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin", the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). This responsible national committee is NA 062-06-42 AA "Prüfung von flüssigen Kraftstoffen und Heizölen" ("Testing of liquid fuels and fuel oils") of the Fachausschuss Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (Standardization Committee for petroleum, fuels, lubricants and related products) of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN. As the English document is used in German expert groups, no German translation has been prepared. This document provides detailed analytical methods and data processing specifications for identifying the specific nature of waterborne oil spills and establishing their correlation to suspected sources.
