Surface dressing - Test methods - Part 2: Visual assessment of defects
Abstract
This document specifies a qualitative method for the visual assessment of defects of surface dressings. The assessment of the defects evaluates the condition or performance of the surface dressing and, thus, gives an indication of the durability of the surface dressing. This qualitative method will enable the user to provide a survey of the defects (localisation, surface, description) through a schematic representation of the road. The assessment can be made directly or with a recording (photo, video and other numerical recordings). This is a rapid practical test and can be specified as the primary test. This document is applicable to all surface dressings (roads, airfields and other trafficked areas).
