Energy efficiency of buildings - Calculation of the net, final and primary energy demand for heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic hot water and lighting - Part 1: General balancing procedures, terms and definitions, zoning and evaluation of energy sources
Abstract
DIN/TS 18599-1 provides an overview of the procedure for calculating the useful, final and primary energy demand for heating, air conditioning, cooling, lighting and hot water for buildings. The central balance equations are presented. General terms are provided that apply to all parts of the DIN/TS 18599 series. The general balancing procedure is presented, with separate instructions for the calculation of residential and non-residential buildings. The procedure for zoning buildings is explained. Appendix A contains assessment factors for evaluating the environmental impact of energy demand (primary energy factors and CO2 equivalents).
