Testing of metallic materials - Compression test of metallic cellular materials

Abstract

This standard specifies the test method for evaluating the compressive strength and deformation behavior of cellular metals, such as metal sponges, metal foams, and hollow sphere structures. It is applicable to cellular metals with porosity greater than 50%. The properties determined according to this standard are the stress/strain behavior and the characteristic values that can be determined from it.
