Plain language - Application for the German language - Part 1: Language-specific provisions

Abstract

This standard specifies general rules for writing texts in plain German. The general rules are defined on the basis of the general principles laid down in DIN ISO 24495-1, Plain language - Part 1: Governing principles and guidelines, which is currently being developed. These principles provide the framework for plain language and are formulated in a linguistically and culturally neutral way. Leichte Sprache in the sense of §11 BGG (German Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities Act) is not covered by this standard.
