Electric vehicles conductive charging system - Part 3-7: DC EV supply equipment where protection relies on double or reinforced insulation - Battery system communication (IEC/TS 61851-3-7:2023); German version CLC IEC/TS 61851-3-7:2023

Abstract

This part of IEC 61851 as a technical specification together with Part 3-1 and with part 1 of IEC61851, applies to applies to communication for the conductive transfer of electric power from the supply network to the electric (road) vehicle whose protection class is class II or class III or to a removable RESS and/or traction-battery of a class II or class III EV for purposes of supply electric power to the RESS or traction-battery and/or maintaining other on vehicle electrical systems in an operational state when connected to the supply network if the RESS and/or traction-battery is on-board the vehicle, at standard supply voltages per IEC 60038 with a rated voltage up to 1000 V AC and up to 1500 V DC.
