DIN SPEC 25713
Evaluation of the quality of machined parts made of fibre reinforced plastics; Text in German and English

Title (German)

Beurteilung der Bauteilqualität nach der trennenden Bearbeitung von faserverstärkten Kunststoffen; Text Deutsch und Englisch

Procedure

PAS

Overview

This DIN SPEC has been prepared by a workshop (temporary committee) in the course of the PAS procedure. The document has been prepared and adopted by the authors named in the foreword. This document describes a non-destructive test method to evaluate the quality of machined parts made of fibre reinforced plastics (FRP). Evaluation can be carried out in production without the need for elaborate measuring equipment. The method is applicable without restrictions to all FRP and addresses imperfections (fraying, delamination and splintering) on machined edges, for example after milling and drilling. This method is primarily used to evaluate the top layers.
