Overview
This IEC Technical Specification provides a standardized method for the measurement of contact and coating resistivity of electrode coatings for nano-enabled electrodes. This method will enable a customer to (1) decide whether or not a coating composite material is usable and to (2) select best combinations of coating composite material with fabrication technologies suitable for their application. This Specification includes (1) definitions of terminology used in this document, (2) recommendations for sample preparation, (3) outlines of the experimental procedures used to measure and calculate the contact and coating resistivity, (4) methods of interpretation of results and discussion of data analysis and (5) a case study. The responsible committee is DKE/K 141 "Nanotechnologie" ("Nanotechnology") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
