Overview

Automatic shut-off valves are valves for opening or closing of gas pipes. Gas safety valves in accordance with EN 161 are designed so that it opens when energized and closes automatically when de-energized. The consolidated version of EN 161:2011+A3:2013 contains Amendment A3 which extends the European Standard by a methodology for the determination of a Performance Level (PL) in accordance with EN 13611:2007+A2:2011, Annexes K and L. Furthermore 6.2.105, "Balanced valves", has been changed.
