Automotive Fuels - Test methods - Part 6: Direct determination of trace elements in vegetable oils by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP OES)

Title (German)

Kraftstoffe für Kraftfahrzeuge - Prüfverfahren - Teil 6: Direkte Bestimmung von Spurenelementen in Pflanzenölen durch optische Emissionsspektralanalyse mit induktiv gekoppeltem Plasma (ICP OES)

Overview

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-11 AA "Atomspektrometrie" ("Atomic spectrometry") of the Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products Standardization Committee (FAM) at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP). This document specifies a method for direct determination of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus traces in vegetable oils by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP OES) in a range from approximately 0,1 mg/kg to approximately 10 mg/kg. By a higher dilution of the sample, the working range can be extended upwards if it can be verified that the dilution steps do not cause additional measurement errors.
