Title (German)

Bahnanwendungen - Abschleppkupplung - Leistungsanforderungen, spezifische Schnittstellengeometrie und Prüfverfahren; Deutsche Fassung EN 15020:2006+A1:2010

Overview

This document specifies the requirements for the rescue coupler for train sets. It contains Amendment A1:2010, through which Annex ZA on the relationship of this standard with EU Directives has been adopted to the new Directive 2008/57/EC. The new version of Directive 2008/57/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the interoperability of the rail system within the Community was published on 17 June 2008. The two previous EC Directives 96/48/EC and 2001/16/EC on the interoperability of the trans-European high-speed and the conventional rail system have therefore been withdrawn as of 19 July 2010. From that date, harmonized standards of the railway sector shall refer to the new Directive. The amendment has been prepared by CEN/TC 256 "Railway applications". The responsible German Committee is Working Committee NA 087-00-13 AA "Kupplungen, Zug- und Stoßeinrichtungen" ("Couplings, draft gear") of the Railway Standardization Committee (FSF) at DIN.
