Sound playback in digital cinema - Part 2: Electroacoustic equipment in cinema auditoriums
Abstract
This document applies to the planning of new cinema halls and to the modernisation of existing cinema halls. It is also applicable to the commissioning and inspection of installed sound equipment in cinema halls.
Guidance on surround loudspeaker positions in the document is also applicable to auditoria with self-emitting or sound-impermeable screen walls, provided that the height of the external screen loudspeakers in such auditoria follows the guidance in this document. This standard is not applicable to the screen loudspeakers and subwoofers in halls with self-emitting or sound-impermeable screens.
