Round steel link chains, components and accessories - Part 6: Utilization of further round steel link chains
Abstract
DIN 685-6 is an addition to DIN 685-5 with requirements for the use of chains that are not intended for the lifting of loads. This part is therefore intended to contain requirements for the use of chains that are not covered by DIN 685-5:2020-08. DIN 685-6 covers e.g. conveyor chains, bucket elevator chains, barrel chains etc. and is the residual standard to the previous edition of DIN 685-5 (edition 1981-11) which has been completely replaced by the new edition August 2020. It is planned to publish the text version of DIN 685-5:1981-11 as the first draft standard for a new project DIN 685-6 and thus to start the development of the remaining standard.
