Project management - Project management systems - Part 1: Fundamentals

The DIN 69901 series of standards, Parts 1 to 5, "Project management project management systems" applies to the network planning technique and other methods for sequence and schedule planning in project management and defines the associated terminology. The series of standards is applicable to projects, project management systems and project organisations of all kinds. The DIN 69901 series is based on the former DIN 6990x series of standards and combines the requirements. Thus, in this standard, the activities essential to project management are mapped as processes and related to the interactions in their project environment. On the one hand, this makes it easier for all project participants to orient themselves in the course of the project and, on the other hand, it also provides a good basis for cross-company networking and continuous improvement of the system. The terms have been summarised in one part. A new addition is a data model.
