Overview

The standards of the EN 3155 series describe electrical contacts in elements of connection which are used in aircraft. Part 002 provides a list of removable crimped contacts as defined in the product standards, with wrapped or soldered connections, etcetera, for use in connectors or other electrical elements of connection. The list shows the elements of connection in which they are used. The standard supersedes DIN EN 3155-002:2007-08. The following modifications have been made: a) normative references have been updated; b) the contacts given in Table 1 have been updated; c) connectors according to EN 4165 and EN 4644 have been incorporated in the table. This standard of the EN 3155 series has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee.
