Overview
The product standard on collapsible plastic water hoses specifies requirements for four types of textile-reinforced plastics hoses for general applications in a temperature range of -10 °C to +55 °C. Such hoses are classified into four types: - low pressure, - medium pressure, - high pressure, and - extra-high pressure. This standard does not apply to products used for fire-fighting or the conveyance of drinking water. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and rubber products", SC 1 "Hoses" of the International Organization for Standardization and has been adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies". The responsible national standards committee is NA 045-02-12 AA "Gummi- und Kunststoffschläuche sowie Schlauchleitungen (Spiegelgremium zu CEN/TC 218; ISO/TC 45/SC 1)" ("Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies (Mirror committee to CEN/TC 218; ISO/TC 45/SC 1)") at the DIN Standards Committee Rubber Technology (FAKAU).
