Abstract

This document applies to pipes and fittings made of thermoplastic materials and their joints used in trafficked areas for transport route construction and civil engineering applications for the collection, drainage and infiltration of surface water and drainage water by gravity. Pipes and fittings in accordance with this document can be used, for example, for road and rail bodies, underground parts of engineering and building structures, tunnel construction, earthworks and hydraulic engineering, and sports grounds. This document is not applicable to pipes and fittings made of thermoplastics for base drainage in landfills and the discharge of wastewater and stormwater in sewers and drains. DIN/TS 4262-2 gives recommendations for the assessment of conformity of products according to this document.
