Overview
This document provides an application guide for ISO 11239 for structures and controlled terminologies for unique identification and exchange of regulated information on pharmaceutical dose forms, units of presentation, routes of administration and packaging. This document (CEN ISO/TS 20440:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 215 "Health informatics" (secretariat: ANSI, USA) with the participation of German experts and adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 251 "Medical informatics" (secretariat: NEN, Netherlands). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 063-07-03 AA "Terminologie" ("Terminology") at DIN Standards Committee Medicine (NAMed).
