Project

Assessment of water, soils and gases for their aggressiveness to concrete - Part 1: Principles and limiting values

Abstract

The standard lays down criteria for the opinion of the aggressiveness of liquids of a predominantly natural composition and of soils and gases containing substances which attack hardened concrete produced in accordance with DIN 1045-2:2023-08. The standard does not apply to concentrated solutions such as certain types of industrial waste water. Therefore, during construction planning - but at the latest before the start of construction - it must be clarified whether an assessment according to this document is necessary or justified. Requirements for the design of structures made of concrete and reinforced concrete that are exposed to water, soil and gases attacking concrete are contained in DIN 1045-2:2023-08.
