Overview
Vision provides the primary source of information available to a driver. Various applications within a vehicle use visual displays able to provide a range of driver-specific information. If these visual displays require manual adjustment, they become part of a driver's visual behaviour associated with display applications. Therefore, this type of activity requires consideration of the duration of glance and blinks for the measurement of a driver's diversion. This standard defines instructions for terms and measurement methods for the collection and analysis of data related to a driver's visual behaviour thereby providing the user of this standard with practical assessments of drivers in real or simulated environments to quantify visual behaviour.
