Basic standards
The working committee NA 003-01-01 AA "Basic standards" of the DIN Standards Committee Valves is responsible for working on all basic standards and standardization projects related to industrial valves. The field of work of NA 003-01-01 AA includes calculation, construction, determination of the design, measurement and test procedures, marking, technical delivery terms, terminology and material of industrial valves in special consideration of the Pressure Equipment Directive. The NA 003-01-01 AA is the German mirror committee within the European standardization for CEN/TC 69/WG 1 "Basic standards" (Secretariat: DIN, Germany) and acts as the German mirror committee for the technical committees CEN/TC 69 “Industrial valves” (Secretariat: AFNOR, France) and ISO/TC 153 "Valves" (Secretariat: AFNOR, France) and nominates the Germen delegation and determines the national strategy for the standardization of valves.
