Overview
This Technical Specification specifies an automatic method for determination of the mass concentration of hydrogen chloride (HCl) in exhaust gases from stationary sources (for example, incineration plants). Infrared equipment which shall be used in conjunction with this Technical Specification shall meet specified minimum requirements with regard to defined characteristics and with regard to measurement uncertainty. A detailed example for determination of the measurement uncertainty is given in the annex. This Technical Specification is in particular of interest for infrared equipment manufacturers, for institutes carrying out suitability tests, for measurement institutes carrying out emission measurements, as well as plant operators.
