Overview
This International Standard specifies the digital audio interface to convey non-linear PCM encoded audio bitstreams applying IEC 60958-1 and -3. Part 2 of IEC 61937 describes burst-info which specifies content information about the data contained in the burst payload. With respect to DIN EN 61937-2:2008-01, new audio data-types of MPEG-4 ALS, MPEG-4 AAC LC in LATM/LOAS, MPEG-4 HE AAC in LATM/LOAS and DRA have been added, and a rule for another definition of the data-types has been specified. The responsible committee is K 742 "Audio-, Video- und Multimediasysteme, -geräte und -komponenten" ("Audio, video and multimedia systems, equipment and components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
