Overview
With the new edition of this standard, the degree of protection IPX9 (testing the resistance of enclosure against high-pressure cleaners) is supplemented. The previous degrees of protection have not changed with regard to test and requirements. Therefore, no additional test or modification of the certification for existing IP classifications. The responsible committee is DKE/K 212 "Schutzarten" ("Degrees of protection") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
