Abstract

This part of IEC 60904 describes the preferred method for determining the equivalent cell temperature (ECT) of PV devices for the purposes of comparing their thermal characteristics, determining NOCTor alternatively NMOT and translating measured I-V characteristics to other temperatures. General topics included in this amendment: Addition of NMOT in scope and object, Addition of introduction, scope and procedures for bifacial modules, Removal of ambiguity sentences regarding ohmic series resistance/shunt resistances in general measurement requirements, Addition of recommendation for the use of the insulating thermal tape when the input, parameters are determined, Replace equations in calculation of equivalent cell temperature to equations used by IEC60891(CDV).
