Abstract
This international standard specifies the test method and test apparatus for a total runtime e-scooter for single-person transportation with consideration to the environmental conditions of actual use, when the e-scooteroperate at maximum speed by the user in various temperatures for use on the road or in public spaces. This document does not cover fuel powered devices or e-scooterfor the disabled or elderly people. Also, this standard excludescargo e-scooter, 1 wheel devices and parallel 2 wheel devices. This standard is intended to enable e-scooterusers to use the device in a safe environment, and is proposed on the basis that e-scootercan be used more safely when the total run time is known.
