Commissions
The Commissions consult the Director of DIN and help coordinate work between various sectors of standardization and between DIN and other institutions. The Commissions make recommendations which are implemented by the Director. They are set up for a specific purpose and then dissolved once their task has been completed. Commissions do not develop standards.
